These Terms apply to services provided by Mike’s Car Keys (“we/us”) and your use of mikescarkeys.co.uk.

 

1) Services

We provide mobile auto locksmith services including (where available): car key cutting, key programming, spare keys, lost key replacement, lockouts, and remote/fob services.

 

2) Quotes & Pricing

• Quotes are based on information you provide (make/model/year, key type, situation, location).

• Final price may change if the job differs from the description or additional work/parts are needed.

• Any changes will be agreed with you before we proceed.

 

3) Call-out & Appointments

• We offer mobile call-outs within our service area (incl. Newcastle, Sunderland, Middlesbrough).

• Arrival times are estimates and can be affected by traffic, weather, or prior jobs.

• You must ensure safe access to the vehicle and that it can be worked on legally and safely.

 

4) Cancellations

• If you cancel after we have travelled or arrived, a call-out fee may apply: £[X].

• If you cancel with reasonable notice, no fee is usually charged. (Set your own rule.)

 

5) Customer Responsibilities

You confirm that:

• You are the vehicle owner or have the owner’s permission.

• You can provide proof of ownership/authority if requested (V5C, ID, insurance, purchase docs).

• You will disclose any relevant issues (immobiliser faults, dead battery, aftermarket alarm, etc.).

We may refuse service if ownership/authority is unclear.

 

6) Payments

• Payment is due upon completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.

• Accepted methods: card / bank transfer / cash (choose what you accept).

• Unpaid invoices may be pursued for recovery.

 

7) Parts & Compatibility

• Keys/remotes are supplied to match your vehicle when possible.

• Some vehicles may require dealer involvement, additional modules, or cannot be programmed on-site. If so, we’ll advise before continuing.

 

8) Warranty

• We provide a [X]-day warranty on supplied keys/remotes and programming, covering manufacturing/programming defects under normal use.

• Warranty does not cover: physical damage, water damage, battery replacement, tampering, vehicle electrical faults, or pre-existing issues.

 

9) Liability

• We take reasonable care and skill when providing services.

• We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control.

• We are not responsible for faults that existed before the job (e.g., immobiliser issues, ECU faults, damaged locks).

• Nothing in these Terms limits liability where it cannot be excluded by law.

 

10) Website Use

• Website content is for general information only and may change without notice.

• You must not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, or upload malicious content.

 

11) Privacy & Cookies

Your use of our site and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

 

12) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes will be handled by the courts of England & Wales.
